We had a cat that got attacked by a coyote and got away. Front paw was half bitten off and one ear was half bitten off. When we found the cat, her paw was infected, bone was exposed, with puss coming out of it. Her ear was raw and blending. All we did was mix up ClO2 solution(6 drops of each part) in a shot glass, then fill it 3/4 full with distilled water. Then we would dip her paw into it for about 30 seconds. We did this twice per day. We also treated her ear with the same solution using a Q-Tip. 3 weeks later and her paw/ear were healed enough that more more treatments were required. Saved is from an expensive vet bill(i am sure).
